your niagara stationis still alive. your integrator, not so much.
The JACE in the equipment room rack is still reading your Eaton UPSes and your Honeywell HVAC. The integrator who configured it doesn't answer anymore. The panel doesn't render on a phone. Alerts reach no one. You build audit reports by hand in Excel.
vaultis lives on top of your niagara: it doesn't replace it.
Your Niagara will keep doing exactly what it does today: reading your equipment. We add the layer the Niagara never gave you: a panel in Spanish, alerts with what to do, and Results at month-end.
your niagara stays intact.
We don't touch its configuration. We don't ask for new credentials. The JACE keeps reading your equipment exactly as it has.
a controller reads from your niagara.
A cellular controller in your machine room connects to your Niagara station via BACnet/IP. Astrea installs and configures it; your team touches nothing.
your team gets the layer that was missing.
A panel in Spanish your team understands without training. It alerts your phone with what to do, escalates to the next person if nobody acknowledges, and records who was told. At month-end, Results you can show.
what if bacnet/ip isn't exposed on my niagara?
It happens, especially on older AX stations. We turn it on for you: BMS engineering with Tridium Niagara certification. It's a one-time configuration, not a long-term integrator relationship.
What if the workbench credentials are lost? If BACnet/IP was already exposed, we don't need the credentials: we read directly. If not, we read directly from the equipment beneath the JACE and replace its role.

things niagara was never designed to do.
Niagara is a BMS integration framework. It works excellently for what it is. But most Mexican facilities need things Niagara was never designed to do.
Operated from Workbench, with certified engineering.
Built for phone and tablet: your team checks it from wherever they are.
Whatever your integrator configures in the station.
Alerts your phone with what to do, escalates to the next person if nobody acknowledges, and records who was told.
Whatever gets built in wiresheet, with certified engineering.
History: every alarm, who acknowledged it and what they said. Results at month-end.
Requires certified engineering to operate.
Operational Spanish: the maintenance chief's language, not the engineer's.
Every change goes through Workbench and a certified engineer.
Astrea configures, you operate: users and maintenance windows are managed from the web.
we're not vs niagara. we're on top.
What follows is the honest list of when Niagara, alone, is the best tool. If you recognize your organization in these points, Vaultis probably isn't for you, and that's fine.
You have a Tridium-certified engineer on staff
Workbench is a powerful tool for those who know how to use it. If you have a dedicated person who can write wiresheet logic and maintain the station, Niagara gives you full control.
You need to write complex control logic
Multi-variable PID loops, demand response, complex scheduling with conditions: that's Niagara's job. Vaultis doesn't control your equipment: it reads and alerts.
Your organization already standardized on Tridium
Multiple sites, all on Niagara, an in-house engineering team maintaining corporate templates. Switching paradigms costs more than it gains.
Your local integrator exists + responds + updates
This is the ideal situation with Niagara. If you have it, value it. It's rare in the Mexican market, but it exists.
the five we get most often.
No. Vaultis reads via BACnet/IP and doesn't control your equipment. Your Niagara keeps operating the same.
